Dry Lining

Dry lining quite simply means the application of plasterboard to surfaces such as timber, masonry or metal using different fixings for each background. When Dry lining Timber or metal we call this ‘Tacking’ and this is a fairly easy process. When dry lining Masonry (internal) this is commonly known as ‘Dot and Dab’ this form of dry lining is much more skilled than the above ‘Tacking’ as it involves using plasterboard adhesive.

Our renowned quality or plastering work applies to all the work we carry out no matter how large or small the job may be. Installed Kair Flat Ventilation System, “Work was carried out efficiently and neatly and clearly every effort had been made to clean up afterwards. The work took longer than scheduled - into second day - due to difficulty boring holes through re-inforced concrete (not anticipated) but this did not inconvenience me as flat is unoccupied at present. Allround a very friendly and helpful workforce. Very satisfied with outcome and would recommend this firm.”

Fixing a damp problem and re-plastering, “We had a damp problem in our hallway and a number of contractors looked and quoted for the work. Top Joints were the only company to properly look into what had caused the problem and did not automatically assume we had rising damp (old house, no DPC). It turns out a leaking stop cock was causing a localised problem, yet everyone else tried to sell us a DPC. Once the real problem had been identified, Top Joints' quote and plan of remedial action was very competitive and we were happy to give them the work. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and polite and queries were responded to quickly and professionally. I would recommend Top Joints.”

Fitted a kair track heat recovery ventilation system K-HRVF100, “Good humoured team who were a pleasure to have in the house. Disruption was minimal despite working in three separate rooms and the loft. This included cutting through three ceilings and fitting inlet and outlet vents through external walls. Kept informed of progress during the day. Quickly resolved small technical issue after installation. Would thoroughly recommend this company..”
